NATIVE AMERICAN PAPER HAT

Made from one piece cardboard.

 

Created as part of the first year in industrial design studies.  

On this project, i've been asked to explore a specific type of a cardboard and make a one piece hat from it.

 

I started to make some tests to define the limits of this material I just got and the results been great! 

 

After understanding the paper, I started to think what kind of a hat I want to design, starting to explore the hat in the culture.

 

I found that the most fascinating hat for my opinion was the native American chief hat.

 

(you know...the one with the feathers and the other Colorful things)

I wanted to put in my design the respect that this hat has around him and to express the culture about him just by the looking on the one who wear it.
